"Revenant" announcement Teller, Quiet Half of Showtime's Hit Series “Penn and Teller: Bullshit,” Teams up with Award-winning Filmmaker Jacob Strunk to bring “Revenant” to Silver Screen Actor Ronnie Marmo of "Lenny’s Back" & "A Bronx Tale" is set to star in haunting tale of memory and regret. Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) June 23, 2005 -- “Revenant”, the new film penned by award-winning filmmaker Jacob Strunk (Valhalla, A Shadow Before Sunrise) is set to lens in late 2005 in the dark woods of Wisconsin. Producing the project is Strunk's Seven Miles West of Town Productions and Dan Wilson (The Hand Job, A Model Woman) of Milwaukee’s Bartoli Filmworks. Teller (Penn & Teller) is executive producing the picture. Shade Rupe of Dark Sky Films and Bravo’s 100 Scariest Movie Moments acts as associate producer. Veteran cinematographer Ian Vollmer (Being With Me, CBS’s Survivor) has signed on to bring the dark surrealism of Strunk’s vision to the screen. Los Angeles actor Ronnie Marmo (West of Brooklyn, Deuces Wild, A Bronx Tale) is set to star in the haunting tale of memory and regret, fresh off his highly praised role as Lenny Bruce in Lenny’s Back at Theatre 68 in L.A. Strunk's acclaimed films, including 2003's Valhalla and 2004's A Shadow Before Sunrise, have screened across the world. The new film's location was a logical choice for Strunk. Growing up in the small and horribly mundane town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Strunk made the transition from in front of the screen to behind the camera early, producing a number of short horror-themed films in the years before high school. Strunk requently calls upon both local and out-of-town talent in his film projects which gained him recognition in Wisconsin as one of a scarce few filmmakers attached to dramatic work in the state. Teller has enjoyed showbiz success for three decades as a part of Penn & Teller, currently at the Rio in Las Vegas and star of the Showtime hit, "Penn and Teller:Bullshit".
